IRS Announces 2013 HSA Limits and HDHP Maximums
The IRS has announced adjustments that affect HSAs in 2013. Â Both HSA contribution limits and high deductible health plan out-of-pocket maximums have been raised over the 2012 limits. Â These changes go into effect January 1st, 2013.
HSA contribution limits:
- Individuals – $3,250 (up $150 from 2012)
- Family Coverage – $6,450 (up $200 from 2012)
HDHP minimum required deductibles:
- $1,250 for individual coverage (up $50 from 2012)
- $2,500 for family coverage (up $100 from 2012)
Out-of pocket maximum:
- $6,250 for individual coverage (up $200 from 2012)
- $12,500 for family coverage (up $400 from 2012)
